Heather Young has been a member of the Atascadero United Methodist Church since August 2010. Her father is a United Church of Christ minister, so she grew up in the church in the Midwest. She was previously youth director for the Community Church of Atascadero and children’s ministry director for Plymouth Congregational Church in Paso Robles. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kansas and studied marketing at American Intercontinental University.
Serving as family ministries & communications director for Atascadero United Methodist Church, Heather not only promotes the church and its activities, but also organizes the MIX and plans events for families.
She is mom to an independent 8-year-old who loves attending church on Sunday and the MIX on Wednesday. In her free time, Heather is writing her first fiction novel, submits freelance articles for local publications, and is learning Spanish and Japanese.
